Rachel Sumner is best known as the guitarist and one of two primary songwriters and singers in the Boston band Twisted Pine, but her musical interests and curiosity extend beyond even the most progressive approach to traditional string-band instrumentation. Her debut solo EP is a fantastic collection and we highlight a track on this edition – a program overloaded with amazing music. You’ll also hear the latest from Rob Snarski, the return of Rustin Man, the blissful country twang of Sweet Whirl and the deep ’70 vibes of Drugdealer.
